The Nkawie Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of three traders at Abuakwa in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District for failing to appear before it.
They are Akua Amankwaa, Yaa Afriyie and Faustina Asiedu, who are facing a charge of exposing fried fish and yam to germs.
Prosecuting, Mr Austin Dubick, Abuakwa Sub-District Environmental Health Officer, told the court that on September 27, environmental health officers found that the accused persons had exposed fried fish and yams meant for human consumption to flies, dust and as well as other external contaminants.
He said the officers went in to advise them but they became offended and hurled insults at them.
