An unemployed man accused of stealing guinea fowls has been remanded into prison custody by the Juaso Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Alex Obeng Asante.
Ebenezer Bomper is said to have stolen the birds from a poultry farm at Adomfe in the Asante-Akim South District.
He has been charged with unlawful entry and stealing but denied the offence and he would make his next appearance on June 19.
Police Chief Inspector Emmanuel Ofori said the complainant, Anthony Agyei, owns a poultry farm at Adomfe and noticed that someone had been stealing his birds since April.
He decided to mount surveillance and on May 4, caught the accused entering the farm and when questioned he gave the excuse that he was there to clean the place.
The prosecution said the complainant arrested the accused and handed him over to the police at Bompata.
