A Circuit Court in Accra on Thursday remanded into prison custody a 23-year-old man for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old pupil.
Charged with defilement, Rashid Sulemana's, plea was taken.
He is to reappear before the court presided over by Mrs Georgina Mensah-Datsa on January 31.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah said the victim lived with her father at Alajo while Sulemana also lived in the same vicinity.
ASP Acquah said at about 19:30 hours on January 4, the victim was on her way home when the accused invited her into his room and abused her sexually.
The prosecutor said after the act, the victim went home and kept it to herself.
At about 23:00 hours on January 8, the accused invited the victim into his room again, had sex with her and kept her until the following day.
The prosecutor said the victim's father and siblings combed through the area looking for her but to no avail.
When the victim returned and she was questioned by her father she mentioned Sulemana as the one who invited her into his room and had sex with her.
The prosecutor said a complaint was lodged with the Police at Kotobabi and the accused was arrested.
