Justice Bright Mensah was prevailed upon by counsel for the two from issuing a warrant for their arrest.
The counsel had suggested that the clients’ absence from court was the result of a miscommunication of the hearing date.
The two former ministers are standing trial along with former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Mpiani; former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Professor George Gyan Barfuor and the former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Crabbe, for allegedly causing financial loss to the state through dealings at the Ghana International Airline (GIA).
