The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has revealed that one more life has been lost in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its latest update, the number of deaths recorded so far stands at 1,084.
Despite the casualty, data from the GHS shows a decline in active and new cases.
As of September 5, a total of 5,779 active cases were recorded. Fifty-one of these cases are said to be criticals whereas 129 individuals are in a severe condition.
In its previous update, the GHS recorded 6,135 active cases.
Meanwhile, 180 new cases have been recorded. This is as against 206 new cases recorded as of September 4.
Total Covid-19 confirmed cases since the emergence of the virus in March last year stands at 122,543.
Also, about 115,680 people, who recovered have been discharged from the health facilities.
