The National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) has reiterated its passionate appeal to the Ghanaian public to faithfully observe the laid down safety protocols to curb the spread of the disease.
The Commission is undertaking a nationwide awareness creation exercise stressed the fact that everyone was still at risk of Covid-19, and strongly appealed to the public especially those defaulting to take the safety protocols seriously and adhere to them.
NCCE offices throughout the 16 regions of Ghana have encouraged commuters and residents to strictly observe the protocols and to appropriately wear their facemasks.

During its routine sensitisation exercise in urban communities, the Commission touched based with commuters and traders at the Shopping malls, bus terminals, lorry stations, market centres and members of the general public.

During one of the outreaches in Accra, the La Nkwantanang Madina NCCE Municipal Director, Ophelia Ankrah, who spoke to market women and those conducting their business around business districts urged the public not to take the COVID-19 for granted but to continuously do the needful by staying safe from the disease.

Likewise, Civic Educators spoke in local dialects (Akan, Hausa, Ga and Ewe) to equally persuade the public to observe the safety measures in order to stay safe.
They entreated the public not to lose their guard by ignoring the protocols but to consciously make the efforts to observe them in order to curb the rise of the disease.
Couple with the display of placards with messages on Covid-19 safety protocols, jingles in the various Ghanaian languages, with public announcements were aired by the new NCCE Cinema Van donated by the European Union (EU).
