The Convention People’s Party CPP hereby confirms that, at the National Executive Committee meeting held in Accra on Friday January 21, 2011, the following resolutions inter alia presented to the NEC were adopted: 1. That there shall be two National Delegates Congresses in 2011 to continue with the process of re-energising and preparing the Party for the short/medium term challenges: i. First on April 29th and 30th to elect National Officers. ii. Second on September 30th to elect a Flag bearer. 2. That prior to the first National Delegates Congress, party organisation should be effected at the Ward, Constituency and Regional levels. Details of logistics and time lines for such organization, as well as rules and procedures of engagement for contestants will be communicated to the rank and file of the party through party structures no later than by Wednesday January 26, 2011. 3. That the Central Committee is hereby empowered to fine tune and finalise amendments to the proposed CPP Constitution as presented, for ratification at the next National Delegates Congress. 4. That Regional Party Leaderships are hereby empowered to deal comprehensively with specific issues aimed at enhancing the smooth and effective running of Party machinery at the Constituency levels. These are issues which have been brought to the attention of and ratified by the Central Committee. 5. That CPP affirms its absolute commitment towards a united and indivisible Nkrumahist grouping; and hereby urges Party Leadership to work with a sense of urgency with all groupings through a Joint National Merger Committee towards and; within the shortest possible time, a Joint National Delegates Congress in accordance with the Nkrumahist Parties Accord signed on October 16, 1997.
