The Convention People's Party (CPP) on Friday empaneled a five-member Disciplinary Committee under the Chairmanship of Professor Edmund N. Delle, former National Chairman in accordance with the CPP’s Constitution.

He said the Central Committee had in addition, reconstituted the party’s Shadow Cabinet and named the first batch of spokesperson including Professor Agyemang-Badu Akosa in-charge of Health, Dr Kwaku Osafo responsible for Finance and Economic Planning, Mr Kwame Jantuah for Trade and Industry, and Dr Abu Sakara in-cCharge of Foreign Affairs.
It commended members of the party who had stood firm and resolute against inducements, coercion and deceitful attempts seeking to lure them away from the party.
Mr Greenstreet affirmed the Central Committee's unequivocal support for the National Leadership in spite of the current operational challenges.
He noted that the flag-bearership contest of the party had gathered momentum with a business magnate picking nomination forms on Thursday, January 5, a day after nominations were opened.
The General Secretary pointed out that scores of CPP loyal members had sent emissaries to the party’s headquarters to make enquiries on the flag-bearership contest, qualifications criteria, and other technical issues.
“Ghanaians would be surprised at the close of nominations to the calibre of Nkrumaists who would contest the flag bearership slot,” he added.
