A statement issued by its National Youth Organiser, Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr, said “In accordance, the National Youth Day, 21st February is planned to involve activities commemorating the diamond jubilee of the Convention Peoples´ Party.”
He noted that the CPP is the only political party with a day set aside for her youth in Ghana, explaining that the gesture confirms the youthful history of the CPP and the fact that she places a lot of importance on youth development. “No wonder it is only under the 1st Republic that Ghana had a national youth movement.”
