The youth wing of the Convention Peoples’ Party has thrown its support behind the leadership of the party to ensure it remains united. This followed a meeting held Saturday between the leadership of the party and the youth wing. There are suggestions the meeting was influenced by threats of defections to Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum’s new movement, but officials of the party have denied this. They maintain the meeting was just to touch base with the youth. The chairman and leader of the party declared her fullest support to the activities of the youth and whatever project they intended to undertake,” Kadri Rauf Issifu Acting National Youth Organizer told Joy News.He said the Chairman is ready to liaise with the youth to make the party popular again in the country.
