Hitz FM has ushered in an exciting new era for its flagship drive time show Cruise Control with Merqury Quaye, introducing fresh segments and bolstering listener engagement.
The revamped version of Cruise Control, which airs weekdays from 4 pm to 7 pm, now features an added ‘Spotlight’ segment every Thursday and Friday. This new addition highlights in-depth personality interviews during the final hour, designed to bring a more personal and insightful connection with guests.
‘You Say Wetin?’, a prominent feature on the show remains unchanged. Dr. Shine Acquah will continue to serve listeners with the hottest trending topics in Ghana in his usual comical and engaging style. DJ Ikon, will still hold his spot.

Merqury Quaye is no stranger to Ghanaian media. With a rich broadcasting background spanning television and radio since 2007, he has won a lot of admirers. He now serves as a DJ, MC and broadcaster at Hitz 103.9 FM and Joy Prime TV, with a strong online following and presence.
The ‘Turn Up General’, as he is affectionately called, has carved a niche for himself with his endearing style of presentation.

The station’s broader programming overhaul also introduced new talent and show formats across the schedule. Kwame Dadzie, known for his insightful analysis in the arts and culture space, joins Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz. Popular DJ Andy Dosty has shifted to the rehashed Afternoon Ride, and DJ Black returns mid‑morning with the music‑only Musik Box.
These adjustments reflect Hitz FM’s bold strategy to engage a youthful, entertainment-minded audience alongside its loyal midday and afternoon listeners. The addition of Cruise Control’s new segments fits neatly with the station’s mission to merge vibrant energy with entertaining content.
Merqury Quaye’s growing role in the entertainment landscape and the enhancements to Cruise Controlplace Hitz FM at the front of Ghana’s competitive radio market, offering both familiar voices and fresh perspectives to drive listener loyalty.
Listeners can tune into Cruise Control from 4 pm to 7 pm on Hitz 103.9 FM or stream live via Facebook, X and the station’s website.
