MR. Kweku Bamfo Boateng, a Tourism Development Consultant, has advised managers of tourist facilities to make customer care the pivot of their business in order to attract repeat-visits.
This, he said, will boost tourism and help make the government’s policy of making the tourism sector the highest foreign exchange earner for the country a reality.
He gave the advice at Kakasunaka No 2, near Michel Camp at the weekend during the commissioning of a 3.7 billion guest house christened Mike G Annex.
It has seven rooms, a bar, restaurant and a pharmacy among others.
Mr. Boateng urged managers of tourism facilities to invest in the training of their staff to enable them to give off their best.
He also called on them to market their products extensively in order to compete favourably with their counterparts elsewhere.
He advised them to use their position to promote the country’s culture by serving their foreign guests with local dishes as is done in other countries.
Nil Laryea Agbo, MP for Kpone-Katamansu, commended the management of the facility for siting the project there, adding that it will help solve some of the unemployment problems in the area.
