The Dansoman Youth Choir (DYC) over the weekend held a series of activities towards the launching of its maiden album; “DIVINE INSPIRATION, vol 1”. The activities included a health walk and a donation to the Dansoman Polyclinic.
The activities started with a walk through the principal streets of Dansoman attracted young people from all walks of life.
This was to increase awareness on the the importance of using exercise to maintain good health as well as strengthening the peace initiative ahead of the supreme court verdict.
The activities culminated with a donation to the Dansoman Polyclinic. The choir donated toiletries and other hospital equipments to the polyclinic.
At a ceremony at the polyclinic, the director of the choir, Mr. Ebenezer Edem Beble explained that the donation was from the choir on behalf of the youth in Ghana and expressed his trust that this will be the beginning of a long relationship between the polyclinic and the youth.
He expressed the commitment of the choir to the youth and to the hospital and gave assurance that the hospital could call on the choir at any time.
In an acceptance speech, the doctor-in-charge, expressed his gratitude to the choir for the gesture and assured the choir of a lasting relation between his outfit and the choir.
He noted that this was only the second time his about twelve years stay with the polyclinic that a youth group had donated to the outfit.
He advised the youth to be more devoted to God and to believe in their abilities to achieve their vision through God.
The choir treated the audience to a series of melodious Ghanaian tunes which got everyone dancing and asking for more.
