The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) chapter of the Dagbon Students Association (DASA-UPSA) has presented a citation of honour to Dr Farouk Aliu Mahama, former Member of Parliament for Yendi, in recognition of his dedication to youth empowerment and his unwavering commitment to the development of Dagbon.
The presentation took place earlier this morning in Accra.
Dr Mahama expressed profound appreciation to the association for the recognition, describing it as both inspiring and encouraging.
“I feel honoured to be recognised and appreciated by the youth of Dagbon. It is inspiring and encouraging to know that every bit of what I do, even behind the scenes, is much appreciated,” he said.
In his remarks to the leadership of DASA-UPSA, Dr Mahama emphasised the urgent need to address the development gaps that continue to affect Dagbon.
He urged the youth to take active responsibility in driving progress within the traditional area, noting that their energy and innovation were critical to accelerating Dagbon’s transformation.
Dr Mahama extended his gratitude once again to the students for the gesture and their belief in his vision for the future of Dagbon.
“Once again, I am highly grateful. Thank you for believing in me,” he stated.
