Ghana's premium roofing company, Davida Roofing Company Limited has supported the resettlement project being constructed in Mepe by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The project will house hundreds of displaced persons affected by the spillage of the Akosombo Dam few months ago.
The company commiserated with the communities and families affected by the spillage as they donated free quality modern light steel metal trusses and roofing installations.
It is estimated that, the extraordinarily generous roofing donation has a market value of an impressive GHc 450,000.00.

Speaking to the media after the kind gesture, CEO of Davida Roofings Systems, Davida Kwame Aziago said, the company was truly saddened by the situation that the people finds themselves in.
According to him, as a company that cares, Davida cannot stand by and watch fellow Ghanaians suffer, hence was deeply moved by the devastation and felt a moral duty to offer some assistance to support.
"As we all know about the plight that the people around the Volta River are going through due to the spillage. We heard about the MP's housing project and we decided to come and help. We hope this will go a long way to provide shelter for many", Davida noted.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ablakwa was very thankful to Davida Roofing Company for such a kind gesture.
In a social media post, the MP stated that, "Davida Roofing- a well-respected company in the Ghanaian roofing industry stormed my beloved North Tongu earlier today to offer free quality modern light steel metal trusses and roofing works of one of our MP's housing units being constructed in Mepe".
