The District Chief Executive for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira, Mr Samuel Agyeibi Kessie has denied allegations that he assaulted the MP for the area.
Mr Kessie told Joy News that Madam Elizabeth Amoah-Tetteh’s claims that he held her by the neck and pushed her out of his office is untrue.
According to him, the MP has a history of causing problems for district assembly officials in the area. He declined to go on record, saying he would not want to publicly comment on the matter until the police have completed their investigations.
The Twifo Ati Morkwa MP, who claims the DCE assaulted her, is calling on government to bring him to book. Madam Amoah-Tetteh said the DCE should not be allowed to continue frustrating efforts by many including herself, to develop the region.
“He has harboured that anger for sometime... He pushed me out of his office. I went to the police and they took my statement,” she said.
