Ghanaian midfielder Andre Ayew believes the Black Stars stand a greater chance of winning the African cup of Nations title in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The 22 year old has become a reference point in the Black Stars team and readies to shoulder the responsibilities of inspiring the team to Nations Cup glory next month.
“We are not little players anymore, we have seen football in all aspects of the world and if there is no injury situation in the team, then I’m optimistic we will win the trophy,” he told Joy Sports.
In a related development, ex chairman of the Black Stars management committee, Fred Pappoe is confident the Black Stars squad for the Gabon and Equatorial Guinea event is good enough to deliver a 5th continental title.
Fred Pappoe, who is now in charge of the local Black Stars told Joy Sports Ghana has a complete squad to deliver the title.
The 25 man provisional squad will depart from Ghana on Saturday to South Africa to finalize preparations for the event.
