Gospel musician Diana Hamilton fed more than 450 schoolchildren at Bukom Park as part of a special community outreach initiative held in honour of her twins’ birthday.
The multiple award-winning artiste, together with the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Michael Nii Kpakpo Allotey, brought joy, food, drinks, and inspiration to pupils in the Bukom community demonstrating her deep commitment to supporting children and underserved communities.
The event drew pupils from various schools who eagerly gathered to meet the celebrated gospel singer. Diana Hamilton energized the atmosphere with a lively musical performance, singing and dancing with the children before sharing words of encouragement.
Explaining the motivation behind the gesture, she said, “My kids, who are twins, are celebrating their birthday today, and as part of their celebration, I decided to celebrate with you since I didn’t get the chance to be with them as I always do. Every year, I celebrate with my kids, but this year the story is different, and I’m glad to have you all gathered here to help me celebrate my children.”
Diana further encouraged the pupils to study diligently and aspire to greatness, emphasizing that discipline and determination pave the way to a bright future.
The Mayor also addressed the children, urging them to remain focused on their education and dream big regardless of their backgrounds. He reminded them that their circumstances should never limit their ambitions and that they could grow to become leaders, presidents, and impactful members of society.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from both Diana Hamilton and the Mayor, followed by a closing prayer to end the celebration on a meaningful note.
This year, Diana Hamilton has continued to excel in her music ministry. She successfully hosted her annual Awake Experience in Accra, Kumasi, and Sunyani, as well as an outstanding edition in the United States. Her latest single, ‘Aha Ye’, featuring Ntokozo Mbambo and the legendary Elder Mireku, is also gaining strong traction across radio, digital platforms, and social media.
