The Deputy Majority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has presented food items and an undisclosed amount of money to support Mulsim groups in her constituency during the period Ramadan.
Among the food items were some bags of rice, cartons of milo, packs of Lipton, and bags sugar.
The items together with the undisclosed amount of money, were presented to the Muslim Community in three different Mosques located in her constituency namely; Taifa; Kwabenya and Dome on Friday, May 24.

Adwoa Safo, who is also the Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement asked the recipients to pray for the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, his vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as well as appointees of the government.
“I will also request that you also pray for me, the MCE [Municipal Chief Executive] and all the executives of the NPP [New Patriotic Party] for us to work hard to ensure the progress of the constituency,” she beseeched them.
She thanked the leaders of the Muslim community for working assiduously to ensure their members co-exist peacefully with members of other faith groups within the constituency.

The Chief Imams, speaking on behalf of their members, thanked the legislator for her kind gesture and prayed for Allah’s blessings and protection for her.
Adwoa Safo was accompanied by the MCE of the area, Janet Tulasi Mensah, the NPP constituency Chairman, Mr. Osei Bonsu and other constituency executives.
