Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo

Borussia Dortmund assistant coach, Otto Addo, is set to be appointed to the role of Black Stars assistant coach.

The former Ghana international, who has been on the radar of the FA, is close to accepting the role.

His acceptance of the post was hinged on keeping his role as assistant coach of Bundesliga side Dortmund.

It appears an agreement has been reached and he will join Milo as his deputy.

Joy Sports understands also that the head of football at the Right to Dream Academy, Masud Didi Dramani and head coach of Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu, are the other candidates pencilled for the post.

George Boateng is still not ruled out for the position as the GFA continues efforts to have him as part of the backroom staff.

One of these trio will join the technical team as a second assistant to the Serbian.

Per JoySports checks, it appears Otto Addo and Didi Dramani will be the pair to assist Milovan Rajevac, whose announcement is now imminent after major stakeholders in government okayed his return.

It is understood that Milovan will stay in the country and hence the FA wants Addo or Boateng to scout national team players based in Europe.

They are expected to keep their current jobs at Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa if they accept the job.

Didi Dramani, two times Ghana premier league winner with Asante Kotoko will also keep his post as head of football of Right to Dream Academy as he will play the role of assistant sparingly.

Maxwell Konadu, many say has had many opportunities with the national team and looks to be an outsider for a return having worked under Kwasi Appiah, Avram Grant, and Kwasi Appiah again.

Should the Ghana FA settle on Addo and Didi which appears likely, George Boateng as reported by Joy Sports earlier will maintain his role as a scout for the team in the upcoming AFCON in Cameroon.
