Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, has said a government under his administration would place education on the top of his priorities.
He explained that every country's economy and total development depended on the quality of education it could give to its citizenry.
Dr Apraku said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Nyakrom Traditional Area, Nana Okofo Katakyi Nyakoh Eku X.
Dr Apraku expressed joy at the opening of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) campus at Agona Nyakrom and gave assurance that his government would give it the necessary support when voted as the president.
He appealed to the delegates to give him the nod at the December 22 delegates congress to enable him pursue his vision for the country.
Dr. Apraku said a government under his leadership would ensure that adequate funds were given to support agriculture and food processing to create more job opportunities especially for the youth.
He said the time had come for the government to give enough financial assistance to all categories of farmers to increase food production and that the road network to food growing areas would be improved to facilitate food evacuation.
Nana Nyakoh Eku appealed to the aspirants to conduct their campaign peacefully, devoid of insults and acrimony to enhance effective and mature politics.Source: GNA
