The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr Gideon Boako, has pledged GH¢10,000 in support of TanoFest, a community-focused programme being organised by the Tano North District Assembly.
Dr Boako made the pledge on Monday during a District Assembly meeting, where discussions focused on community development initiatives and strategies to promote culture, talent and social cohesion within the district.
In his remarks, the MP commended the Assembly for initiating TanoFest, describing it as a timely and impactful platform that aligns with the broader vision of inclusive development for the people of Tano North.
According to him, festivals and community programmes such as TanoFest play a critical role in uncovering local talent, fostering unity and providing opportunities for young people to showcase their abilities.
He emphasised that his contribution is intended to complement the Assembly’s efforts and encourage other stakeholders, including corporate bodies and private individuals, to support the initiative.
Members of the Assembly expressed deep appreciation to the MP for the farm inputs and the GH¢10,000 cash donation towards the TanoFest project, describing it as the first time a Member of Parliament has provided such timely and impactful support.
The pledge by Dr Gideon Boako underscores the importance of collaboration between elected leaders and local government structures in driving grassroots development and delivering meaningful impact to communities.
