Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned Evangelist on Monday commended the Black Stars on their excellent performance during the quarterfinals encounter with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the on-going 26th Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
He said the team should acknowledge the fact that it was their collective work that won them the victory and that they should give thanks as well to the nation and to God for being on their side.
Speaking to the GNA on Ghana’s dramatic defeat of Nigeria in the quarterfinal match on Sunday, Dr Tetteh said although the Black Stars were down in terms of players, God showed His blessings and miracle working hand for the Stars as one of his many Jubilee blessings and restorations bestowed on the nation.
"God knows how to promote the nation, we may think that with Stephen's absence and John's red card, the team is less endowed but in spite of these we are more than conquerors", Dr. Tetteh added.
He said this was the time for all religious, political and the nation to rally behind the team against all odds to win the rest of the matches in waiting adding, "We are going for the ultimate medals".
Dr Tetteh called on the team to exhibit more teamwork and lauded the good works of the technical team and the coach, Mr Claude Le Roy.
