Residents of Lapaz are still reeling from a dramatic robbery attempt that unfolded in the area on Friday morning.
What began as a planned theft took an unexpected turn when the robbers found themselves trapped inside the Rahama Forex Bureau.

Moments later, the building was surrounded by heavily armed police officers.
Alarmed residents gathered to witness the unfolding drama as the police strategised on how to apprehend the robbers inside the locked bureau.

Although police responded early, it’s been reported that no arrest has been made and the suspected robbers escaped through the back door of the forex bureau.

The suspects subsequently escaped through a backdoor.

In a statement, the police said they are on a manhunt for the two robbers involved.
"We would like to assure the public that we will surely get them and bring them to face justice," the police statement added.
