MultiChoice Ghana has moved to douse public concerns following confusion over its new DStv value offerings, which took effect today, October 1, 2025.
In a statement issued in Accra, the satellite television operator clarified that it fully supports the joint media statement announced by the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the National Communications Authority (NCA), MultiChoice Africa, and MultiChoice Ghana.
The company stressed that implementation of the agreement is already underway.
MultiChoice explained that the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) earlier published on its website created a misleading impression of contradictions regarding the initiative.
“We apologise for any inconvenience the FAQs may have caused,” the company stated.
The clarification comes after weeks of heated debate over pricing and value delivery for Ghanaian subscribers.
MultiChoice confirmed that customers—whether existing, returning, or new—are free to choose any bouquet under the new offering.
The company also revealed that the Parliamentary Committee on Communications will reconvene in three months to assess the impact of the initiative, describing the review as a “periodic exercise” meant to ensure that the value package continues to meet consumer expectations.
The latest statement is seen as an attempt to calm tensions after sharp exchanges between industry regulators and operators over DStv’s pricing and bouquet structure.
