Premier league returnee, Mysterious Abusua Dwarfs have sent a goodwill message to the Black Stars ahead of their crucial opener against Serbia.
The message by the chairman Edward Nana Aidoo also wishes the Stars a successful World Cup campaign.
“ Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs wish to convey their best wishes and support for the Ghana Black Stars in their quest to bring glory and honour to this great nation by excelling in the historic World Cup in South Africa beginning on Friday 11th June 2010.
“Ebusua Dwarfs has observed the preparation of the Stars and the professionalism of the management team and is confident that the team is poised to once again show the world the best that Ghana has to offer, following on and even improving on the performance of the epoch-making 2006 team.
With the Stars’ talismanic figure Michael Essien out of the tournament due to injury, Dwarfs are still upbeat about the Stars chances and believe “the team has enough talent to step in and do Ghana proud.”
“To all the players who made the final team, we congratulate you and encourage you to justify the coach’s confidence by showing discipline and commitment both on and off the field of play. The prayers and support of all AbontuaAbontua fans are as staunchly behind you as our hopes are in you,” the statement said.
