The Philadelphia Eagles secured a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
While over 70,000 fans filled the stadium, a dedicated group of Eagles supporters in Ghana gathered in Accra to witness the triumph.
The Philadelphia Eagles Ghana Chapter hosted a Super Bowl watch party at Pit Stop, a sports bar in Labone, creating an atmosphere that mirrored the excitement in New Orleans. The venue was adorned in the Eagles' signature midnight green, black, and white, with a field goal structure and a themed pitch adding to the game-day experience. A Philadelphia-inspired menu brought a taste of the city to Ghana, while face painters decorated fans with Eagles logos.

As the game began, confetti and balloons filled the air, setting the tone for a memorable night. A DJ and a live marching band provided entertainment, playing a mix of Philadelphia anthems, including Bill Conti’s Gonna Fly Now from Rocky, alongside Ghanaian hits such as KiDi’s Lomo Lomo.
One of the highlights of the evening came when attendees saw themselves featured in the official Super Bowl LIX broadcast, as part of a segment showcasing international viewing parties.
The Philadelphia Eagles became the first NFL team to enter the African market through the league’s Global Markets Program, securing exclusive marketing rights in Ghana. Since 2022, the Eagles Ghana Chapter has been actively promoting the team’s brand and supporting the growth of American and flag football in Ghana. A key aspect of their work involves collaboration with the Ghana American Football Federation (GAFF), which has introduced flag football into school curriculums in Accra and Kumasi, with plans to expand nationwide.

Through tournaments, school partnerships, and community outreach, the Eagles Ghana Chapter continues to foster a new generation of football players and fans. The energy at Pit Stop on Super Bowl night reflected the growing passion for the sport in Ghana.
As the final whistle confirmed the Eagles' victory, celebrations erupted among fans, marking an unforgettable night for the Philadelphia Eagles community in Ghana.
