The Eastern Region will host the second edition of the 2024 Regional Town Hall Meetings and Exhibitions on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Centre for National Culture in Koforidua.
This event aims to showcase the government's achievements under the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia-led administrations and enhance citizen engagement.
Organised by the Information Ministry, the town hall series promotes inclusive governance by providing a platform for dialogue between government officials and the public.
The first meeting took place in the Greater Accra Region on August 6, at the Teachers’ Hall.
At this event, government representatives, including Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Titus Glover; Finance Minister, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam and Information Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar, presented updates on developmental projects and discussed initiatives aimed at stabilising the economy and improving regional infrastructure.

The upcoming townhall in Koforidua will continue this effort, offering residents the opportunity to interact directly with government officials such as Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong, Deputy Minister for Finance Dr Alex Ampaabeng, and Presidential Advisor on Health Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, among other key stakeholders.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions on various topics, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure, and to explore the projects showcased at the event.
This Eastern Regional event is part of a nationwide series that will cover all 16 regions.
The series will culminate in a national forum where feedback and recommendations from across the country will be consolidated and presented to the government for consideration and action.
The Ministry of Information views these town hall meetings as essential in bringing governance closer to the people, ensuring that government actions reflect the needs and expectations of citizens nationwide.
