10:40 Ebony moment

A lot was expected from Ebony and she did not disappoint.  She sang, wiggled her waist in a fashion that would make many men tingle in places they would not admit in public. And when she started ‘dating the fathers of her boyfriends,’ as captured in her hit track, the crowd could not help but sing along. She is a born performer and gave her fans an exciting sight to behold and performance to remember. The entire performance was well rehearsed and she nailed it in spectacular fashion. The ‘bad girl’ came with her army of dancers and got many phones up with the crowd ready to capture every move. Nobody wanted to miss any action.

9:30 Captain Planet

Captain Planet of 4x4 fame came with his single that has gotten many Ghanaians dancing. It is difficult not to sing and dance along to a song whose lyrics appear very controversial on one hand but realistic on the other. When you win over a lady from another man, you are happy but when another man wins over your lady, you become mad. On a night when many men did not want to lose their women to other men, they gave close marking to their special ladies.

9:00 Star Performances Begin

From the wilderness we go into the 'premiership' with awesome performances from the hitmakers of today. Kuami Eugene is hugely talented; his voice is magical and on a night when the Stars gathered at the Skuulz Reunion he was right up there shining with glory to the excitement of the crowd. Kuami Eugene, the Angelina hitmaker serandes the crowd with a show stopping performance. He is spoilt for choice and asks the crowd to select which song they want him to perform. He does just that. The crowd wants more but time will not allow him.

8:00 Rap Attack

Kay Tee

It's official! A young man in the wilderness destined for fame in the rap industry may just have hit the jackpot. Kay Tee, known in real life as Johnson Agyeman, of Asamankese Senior High wins the 2017 Rap Attack competition at the Skuuls Reunion. He is quite short, young and unasumming but lyrically endowed. He looks prepared for the competition and nails it in spectacular fashion.  Even his competitors give up, crowning him as the winner even before the judges will make their verdict known. KayTee raps as if he is a pro, but no is looking forward to becoming one. His rhymes are on point; his lyrics exciting. He gets what may well be his break through to fame with a promise by Dr Pounds of Hitz FM to link him up to any of the hip life stars.

7:40 Dancing Competition

The young-old man who won the dancing competition

It’s dancing competition time and reps from Aquinas, Spartans, and other schools treat patrons to some exciting dance moves. Some of the reps of the schools just came to make up the numbers with awkward, off-beat dance. The crowd who are the judges are swift with their verdict. Away! Away! They shouted at the reps they considered were wasting space on the stage. Surprisingly one of the offbeat dancers who was panting as if he just ended a 100m Olympic competition wins the dancing competition. Olu the crowd called. He wins not because of his dancing prowess but because of his hilarious expression.

7:20 Gari Soakings Competition

A Presec gentleman wins the first of the gari-soakings competition at the Old Skuuls Reunion. He carries his ideal milk carton in his armpit with such pride and walks off the stage with the speed of light. Other reps from other schools gulp down the gari with some exciting hunger never seen before.

6:45 Vandals

The gentlemen from the Hills of Legon, the Vandals,  have descended at the Trade Fair Centre with a jaw dropping 'jama' performance. They came holding their balls. Didn’t quite look an organized lot but they need no organization. They are Vandals. Their business is to charge the atmosphere and you can trust the Vandals to do just that.  Most of them came fully dressed, others partially. The songs were 'deep' and the performance dope. It requires a lot of energy and boldness, two 'ingredients' Vandals never lack.

6:20 Ayigbe Edem

Just before the next jama performance comes up one man who needs no introduction has to tease the crowd with his performance. No artiste represents the Volta Region better than this man. He is an ambassador to the Region. He sings and raps in the Ewe language and carved a niche for himself in an industry hugely dominated by the Akan artistes. Ayigbe Edem raises curtain on the performances at the Skuulz Reunion 2017.

5:50 'Jama Charging Competition

Spartans

Now to the moment we have all been waiting for. Spartans of the University of Winneba kicks off the jama competition to an impressive start. Their performance can only bring back memories of old. The Spartans are superbly organised with some mystery about their entry to the stage as well. There are men in gowns, long ones with leaves in their mouths . They came with drum sticks each one of them.

If you expected them to clap with their hands, well they had sticks to do just that and with their mouths they sang some of the popular jama songs much to the excitement of the crowd. It is a well rehearsed performance and for over 20 minutes the Spartans led the charge with authority.

5:20 Hot Milo drinking Competition

In school, drinking Milo is a sign of good living especially when the term is about ending. When the term is icrawling to an end, the only delicacy to enjoy is gari soakings but here at the Skuuls Reunion, old students are leaving the good old days with a hot milo drinking competition. Teshi Presec beat competition from WASS and Wovenu Snr High. In the other competition Temasco beats off competition from Tema Methodist, ATTC and Ketasco to win the Milo drinking accolade

5:00 Arm wrestling Competition

Who has the strongest arm? But must the winner of the arm wrestling competition be the one with the biggest arm? Well let’s see, as Lexis Bill of Joy FM takes on Nathaniel Attoh also of Joy FM. Both men are representing Presec and Augusco respectively. After lots of bragging by both men which is not surprising at all, Lexis and Presec pick up the last bragging right. And if you have never witnessed a fixed match in your life then you better watch the arm wrestling competition between Samuel Yirenkyi head of Sports, Multimedia and the new Diva at Multimedia Naa Ashorkor. Surprisingly, but not really, Naa Ashorkor wins.

In other arm wrestling competitions ATTC beats Kumasi Technical, whilst Ketasco downs Temasco, SOTEC also beats GSTS.

4:50 Bike Riding skills

And when the ladies get on the bike it's a different feeling all together. A spectacular sight to behold

They say it is risky but for others, it is a lifestyle. Here at the Joy FM Skuulz Reunion, some young men with exhilarating bike riding skills take patrons through some exciting and mind-blowing bike riding lessons. Call it a show-off and you will not be too far from being right but the men know their onions and they are showing just that.

4:40 Sharp Brain Competition

Hayford from Adisco has been crowned the sharp brain winner of the 2017 Skuulz Reunion. He scored seven points to beat his two competitors, Appiah from St Peters and Paul Gidiglo who did quite a good job in passing the questions when he should be answering them. The two had only one question right out of a number of questions posed in one minute.

In the second Pepsi drinking competition, the man from ATTC drank his away to victory beating two other competitors from St Peters and Sandema Senior High School.

Daniel Appiah

4:20  A young man from St Peters Secondary School, Daniel Appiah gulped down five bottles of Pepsi drink in less than five minutes to begin what is destined to be a competitive and a thoroughly exciting event at the 2017 Old Skuulz Reunion. He left his fellow contestants from Sandema and Nsaban Presby all belching yet failing to finish all five drinks on the table.
