The Electoral Commission says it will begin the printing of ballot papers for the up-coming Chereponi bye-election next week.The EC opened nominations recently and five candidates have filed to contest the seat which became vacant following the death of Mrs Doris Seidu, former MP for Chereponi.Speaking to Citi News, the Public Affairs Director of the EC, Christian Owusu-Pare said the commission’s programme for the bye-election is on course.“…As soon as we have the forms… we’ll go ahead with the printing of the ballot papers”, he said.According to Mr Owusu-Pare, provisions are underway to start a public education programme on the election in the Chereponi Constituency from the 16th to 28th of this month.The bye-election is due on September 29.By: Dorcas Efe Mensah/myjoyonline.com/Ghana
