The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has commenced processes to ensure that the Commission's officials who were engaged in the 2020 general elections exercise are paid.
Deputy Electoral Commission Chair, Bossman Asare stated in a press statement dated Friday that although the Commission is committed to paying its workers, it has faced some difficulties in fulfilling its obligations.
According to Mr Bossman Asare, "some anomalies including incorrect bank details and names have been noticed" and as such, "need to be corrected" before any payments could be made by the Electoral Commission.
He, therefore, entreated all Regional and District Directors to assist the administrators of the Commission to rectify the present challenges and expedite the processes needed to be taken.
"The Commission is falling on Regional Directors and District Officers to help correct the mistakes. Payment of officials will be made as soon as the anomalies are rectified," the statement concluded.
