The Electricity Company of Ghana ECG (ECG) has disconnected the Accra Digital Cental from the national grid over debt.
This is part of the ECG Accra West Region's revenue drive to complement a national effort to recover some GHs5.7 billion owed by customers.
Today's drive by the Accra West Region is targeted at both public and private facilities in the industrial area.

ECG has already asked its customers to pay up or be disconnected from the grid.
The company says it risks shutting down if they are unable to clear an outstanding $1 billion owed to some Independent Power Producers (IPP) hence the revenue mobilisation drive.
So far, ECG has recovered 2.5 billion cedis out of the 5.7 billion cedis in debt since this national exercise commenced.
