Ecobank Ghana has intensified its campaign to improve customer service with the launch of the first digital centre last Wednesday.
Dubbed ‘Ecobank Direct’, the centre will enable the bank’s tech-savvy customers to conveniently experience real-time digital transactions.
Located at Labone in Accra, the digital centre is equipped with features such as video conferencing suites to enable customers access expert advice in real-time from Ecobank staff at other branches and offices in Ghana.
The bank is hopeful the digital centre will give customers greater control over their service experience.
The Financial Services Advisory Centre would also provide customers with advanced 24hr ATMs, make it possible for them to withdraw money as well as deposit cash and cheques, and make balance enquiries at the click of a button.
The centre will also make it possible for customers to undertake transfers, make bill payments and print out A4 statements.
Samuel Ashitey Adjei, Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana said the launch of Ecobank Direct is “one more example of how our drive and dynamism are pushing us to create new and exciting offerings.”
The recently appointed Group Chief Executive of Ecobank, Albert Essien said the Digital Centre is bringing the “future of banking” to Ghana and the sub region.
Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, who was the special guest of honour at the launch, commended the bank for the strides it has made within the sector and to Ghana’s economic growth.
He is hopeful other banks in the country will take a cue from Ecobank’s bold move in delivering state-of-the-art banking.
The pan African bank has operations in 35 countries across the continent. It has increased its share price by 111 percent, with its loan book being the largest in the banking sector.
