Ecobank Ghana will be collaborating with The Multimedia Group to improve financial inclusion agenda of the bank through its digital platform's.
The bank last Friday paid a courtesy call on the management of Multimedia to outline their plans for the next economic year.
Regional Head of communication and Marketing at Ecobank Ghana, Rita Tsegah reiterated the importance of the Multimedia channels in championing important initiatives such as financial inclusion and the fight against non-communicable diseases in communities where Ecobank operates.
"We have recognized the work of the multimedia group through its platforms in getting initiatives down to the people and as a financial institution with the kind of relationship we built so far, we think it will be good to let you know what we're doing and support the initiative.
"For instance, we have the Ecobank mobile app and other digital platforms which allows customers to do banking transactions without going to the banking hall,” she said.
She added, “The agenda is to push financial inclusion so if you can work with us to get it down to those who need to save in a secure manner then it is a win-win for especially our women in the market and all of us.”
Other initiatives include the war against non-communicable diseases which the bank is embarking on as part of its Corporate Social responsibility, she disclosed.
Chief Operations Officer of Multimedia in charge of Radio and Digital media, Ken Ansah expressed gratitude to the bank for the growing business relationship and commitment of both parties to support each others business.
He, therefore, expressed confidence that the visit will yield a positive result in the subsequent business interactions.
"We're happy to have you here, we have been having this business relationship with you for years and we’re happy that there is growth year on year not only on revenue but the relationship from the MD to all other key stakeholders," he said.
The team from the bank included the Regional Head of Marketing and Communications, Rita Tsegah, Daniel Kasser Tee and Ethel Adama of the Communication department of Ecobank Ghana.
They were received by Mr Ansah, Head of HR, Nana Helegba; General Manager for Joy Cluster, Emma Morrison and other management members of The Multimedia Group.
