New senior women’s team coach A.K. Edusei would begin work with the Black Queens on Wednesday ahead of the team’s participation in the 8-Nations WAFU Tournament.
Coach and Edusei and his backroom staff have called up a 31-member squad who would assemble at the national camp, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram at 16:00GMT (4:00pm local time).
Florence Dadson and Agnes Aduako both former members Black Princesses and a host of other members of the U-20 team win call ups into the senior side, the Black Queens.
Ghana and seven other nations would take part in the tournament to be hosted by Nigeria beginning August 15 to 29.
The Black Queens are placed in Group B together with Sierra Leone, Mali and Cecafa’s representative, Tanzania.
Hosts, Nigeria, Guinea, the Gambia and Senegal are all holed in Group B.
Ghana’s participation would also serve as a build up towards the qualifiers for the 7th African Women’s Championship.
