The chief and people of Hain in the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region have declared support for President Mills and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) towards the 2012 general elections.This was during the Presidents’ visit to the region.The chief, Naa Salifu Dakora said there is a need to maintain the NDC in government so it can continue its development projects in the area.He was speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony of polyclinics in the area.The project which will cost 8 milion Euros is expected to be completed by July next year.President Mills who performed the ceremony said four other polyclinics will be built in different locations to ease the health care challenges of the people.“This underscores the importance that we attach to health care. It is not a fully fledged hospital yet but a beginning is being made… The people expect healthcare. Everybody can see what efforts are being made,” he said.He appealed to health workers who are posted there when the work is completed to cooperate with such directives.President Mills further charged the contractors to ensure that the work is completed on time.Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
