Enterprise Group has officially been presented with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to information security, governance and operational excellence.
The presentation ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Advantage Place and brought together management, staff and representatives of the certification body.

Delivering the welcome address, Group Head of Communication and Synergy at Enterprise Group, Phyllis Wood-Nartey, described the achievement as a major step in the company’s continuous pursuit of excellence.
She acknowledged the role of Interdigicert Kenya Limited for guiding the organisation through what she termed a rigorous and thorough certification process.

She also credited the Group CEO, Daniel Larbi-Tieku, whose vision and leadership initiated and sustained the certification journey.
“With subsidiaries operating across different industries and international borders, achieving an international certification of this nature is no mean feat,” she said, noting that the milestone was made possible through cross-functional collaboration and a shared conviction that global standards are essential.

Head of BTS at Enterprise Trustees, Leslie K. Ditsa, stated that the certification was more than a ceremonial achievement.
“This represents a deliberate commitment to structured governance, disciplined risk management and the protection of information entrusted to us,” he stated.
“Information today is not just an operational asset; it is a matter of trust and institutional maturity.”
He stressed that while the certification confirms compliance with internationally recognised standards, it must be viewed as a framework for continuous improvement rather than a final destination.

Lead Auditor of the certification body, Interdigicert Kenya Limited, Eric Odae, said the audit process assessed leadership commitment, governance structures, risk assessment methodologies, internal controls and management review systems.
“I am pleased to state that the audit demonstrated that the information security management system is effectively established, implemented and maintained in alignment with ISO 27001:2022 requirements,” he said.
He explained that the certification sends a strong message to customers, regulators and partners that Enterprise Group manages risks proactively and is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
However, he cautioned that the true value of the certification lies in daily discipline, vigilance and sustained risk-based thinking.

In his address, Group CEO Daniel Larbi-Tieku described the day as exciting and significant for the organisation.
“In today’s environment, information is one of our most critical assets. Our customers trust us with their personal and financial data, and we take that responsibility seriously,” he said.
He noted that the certification reinforces the company’s brand promise, “Enterprise, your advantage”, by assuring customers of security, reliability and globally recognised systems that safeguard their information.

He further highlighted that in a digitally connected world where cyber threats and regulatory demands continue to evolve, the certification provides independent validation of the group’s proactive risk management approach and strengthens its competitive position.
Speaking to the media after the event, Mr Larbi-Tieku explained that the certification process began over a year ago and that the ceremony was meant to publicly affirm the group’s achievement.

“The world today is driven by data. When customers entrust us with their information, it is only professional and logical that we safeguard it. This certification assures them that they are safe with us,” he said.
On his part, Mr Odae also told journalists that ISO 27001:2022 is purpose-built around information security management systems, requiring organisations to implement strict governance, cybersecurity, data protection and privacy controls.

He said beyond compliance, customers and stakeholders should expect long-term benefits rooted in confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
“When it comes to the confidentiality of your data, the integrity of what is hosted, and the availability of information, Enterprise is assuring its customers that it is fully committed,” he stated, adding that certification provides the company with a competitive edge in a market where trust is paramount.
