Hundreds of families are expected to troop to the Legon Botanical Gardens in Accra for the biggest family outdoor event in Ghana this Saturday, November 26.
The annual Party in the Park event, organised by Joy FM brings together families across the length and breadth of the capital for a healthy dose of family fun, good music, food and wide variety of games and activities.
The event provides a perfect opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their kids, renew and foster close family ties. It also provides a perfect platform for families to make new friends.
For a fee of GHC20 for a family of five, organisers have lined up an impressive list of activities to make this year’s event a memorable one.
On the day, families will take part in sharp brain contest, musical chairs, cooking challenge, treasure hunt, salsa dance competition, Water run, I know my ward, I known my parents, mannequin challenge and a host of others.
Kofi Ansah, Programmes Director of Joy FM noted that “the year has been a stressful one and considering the hectic schedules of families, Joy FM is using this unique platform to destress families and also help build strong family ties.
“The station always has the family at heart and believes that the Joy FM Party in the Park is yet another unique platform for the family to bond,” he said.
Tickets for the event, which kicks off at 10am and ends at 6pm, are on sale at the Front Desk of Joy FM.
