Dancehall act Stonebwoy has reprimanded fellow genre act Shatta Wale, for showing his buttocks during a performance on stage.
According to him, the act by his arch-rival is tarnishing the dancehall music genre that they do.
Shatta Wale during a performance at his ‘Reign Album Concert European Tour’ in Germany surprised many when he showed some flesh from his backside.
During his performance at that concert, he stopped for some few minutes when his hit song ‘Freedom’ was being played, dropped down his pants and showed off some part of his buttocks.
Many said that act on stage was a fulfilment of what rapper Sarkodie said in his ‘My Advice’ diss song target at Shatta Wale. Sarkodie said: “You showed d**k one day you go show buttocks.”
KMJ and Stonebwoy
Commenting on Shatta Wale’s act on stage, Stonebwoy told KIMJ in an interview on Showbiz Now on Joy Prime that, if his arch rival claims he is a king, he should set good examples.
“I don’t know what type of king that is…a king would rather set examples than to remove your dross…it’s disgusting come on man…it’s tarnishing our genre because you are part of it,” he said.
Stonebwoy added that “I never see Bob Marley take off his dress…, I never see Buju, I never see Capleton, I never see Vybz Kartel.”
“Protect the name, give it some sanity,” the dancehall artiste, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, urged.
