In week 34 of the Adom Music Chart, Shatta Wale is making waves with his single Melissa. The single was released a few weeks after his collaboration with Beyonce on the Lion King: The Gift album.
The artiste may have professed love to many women in his songs including his ex Shatta Michy in the Baby music video but he had a soft side to him in this that took many people by surprise.
With much admiration for the song, Seyram music created a cover of the song in his mother tongue Ewe.
Stonebwoy may have released several hits this year including Tuff Seed and Ololo ft Teni but the one song many people have been loving for long is ‘Shuga’.
The song which features Jamaica’s superstar Beenie Man and topped that charts a couple of time is at number two.
‘Lucky’ of Sarkodie’s upcoming album ‘Black love’ is at number three. The song features Nigeria’s, Rudeboy formerly of Psquare.
Kwaw Kese is at number four with the remix of his hit song ‘Dondo’ featuring Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, Medikal and Skonti Dondo.
I‘Agbebolo’ meaning Bread of Life is the number five song on the chart, a huge jump from number 15 in week 33. The song by Gospel artiste Celestine Donkor featured the first runner-up of the talent show, Nsoromma, on Adom TV.
Although they are out with another song, DopeNations’s Zanku is one people that would stay with people for a long time. The song titled after a dance which about showing your success to your enemies is at number six. For many it is not only about singing “Enemies dem no bi God oo” but showing their ‘Zanku’ skills too.
Kwesi Arthur’s ‘Nobody’ featuring Mr Eazi is still up the charts after months of release. The song is at number seven.
‘Zakari’ by Cabum featuring Stonebwoy and Sarkodie is at number 8.
Maintaining the number eight position on the chart is ‘Ohemaa’ by Kuami Eugene.
At number 10 is ‘Tuff Seed’ by ‘Stonebwoy’.
One of the songs of Kelvyn Boy’s ‘T.I.M.E’ ep, well received and fast gaining popularity is ‘Mea’. The song featuring Joey B was singled out as one of Kelvyn Boy’s best works. ‘Mea’ is at number 11.
Fameye’s ‘Nothing I Get’ is at number 12.
At number 13 is Stevie Wonder by Wendy Shay featuring Shatta Wale.
Before the release of his album ‘As Promised’ King Promise dropped ‘Bra’ featuring his mentor Kojo Antwi. The song was well received by many and called a perfect blend of two versatile and talented artiste. ‘Bra’ is at number 14.
Fallen three spots down the chart is Diana Hamilton’s ‘Nsenkyerene Nyankopon’ at number 15.
Kofi Kinaata’s ‘Mati’ is at number 16.
Amanfuor Girls by Quamina MP featuring Medikal is at number 17.
At number 18 is Sugar Daddy by KiDi featuring Mr Eazi.
‘Driving License’ by Becca and Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale took Ghanaians by surprise. The song swayed away from the sensual highlife songs many are used to from Becca to a heated Afrobeat. It seems new things come with spice as Becca chose this one as the medium to show the world she can rap. The song is at number 19.
At number 20 is ‘Adam & Eve’ by Kofi Kinaata
