Apart from the Gospel Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle received a nomination for the ‘Male Worship Song of the Year’ and ‘Gospel Male Vocalist of the Year’.

One nomination that has got Ghanaians talking since the nominees were revealed is that of actor and musician Lil Win. The comic actor received a nomination for the Best Traditional Gospel Song of the Year category with his song, ‘Fawo Ladder.’

UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu received a nomination in the African Gospel category and will battle it out with Nathaniel Bassey and Preye for that award.

The late music producer George Forest, born George Yaw Owusu, who passed away on August 31, 2016, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, has been nominated for an award.

He received a nomination in the Producer of the Year category alongside Morris Babyface, Nacee, Daniel Bassey, Shadrack Yawson, and Prince Owusu Agyeman.
