After being evasive, dropping a hint with a diss song, rapper Medikal has finally confirmed his love journey with singer Sister Debbie has come to an end after a two-year ride.
According to him, they have gone their separate ways for a while now. And yes, he has started a new love ride with actress Fella Makafui of YOLO fame.
And Medikal says he will clear the air on his breakup with the self -acclaimed African Mermaid with a new song titled Ayekoo, which he plans to release on Saturday, November 10.
In an exclusive chat with Graphic Showbiz, Medikal (real name Samuel Adu Frimpong) said, “Everything you hear about me, Sister Debbie, Fella Makafui is true. Sister Debbie and I are no more together, although I do not want to go into details.
“I would just say it is way deeper than what people think; a lot has gone on. The breakup did not happen today, it happened some time ago, and it is just unfortunate that people are now getting to know it.
“The truth of the matter is that Fella Makafui and I have been friends for a long time, long before Deborah and I started dating. And yes, I am with Fella Makafui now, “ he told Showbiz.

According to the IPMC Computer Engineering graduate, a lot has gone on that people do not know and the time to speak is now.
“I know a lot has been going on but I would say people should just wait for me tomorrow, I intend to address the issue and it will be via my new single titled ‘Ayekoo’.
“Honestly, as an artiste, there is no better way to deal with issues than through music. We express ourselves best through the songs we do and that is the medium I want to use to deal with the issue.
“After tomorrow, people will understand why I made certain decisions and why I have remained silent on all this since it started. I was just waiting for the right time to do it and I feel the right time is now.”

The song, Ayekoo, was produced by Reynolds the Gentleman and it features industry colleague, King Promise.
The status of Medikal and Sister Debbie’s relationship has come up for discussion in recent times with people itching to know whether the lovebirds have headed for Splitville.
This is because the Too Risky singer and the curvy YOLO actress have become extremely close and they keep exchanging pleasantries publicly, sharing each other’s pictures on their social media handles and referring to one another as ‘love’ and ‘besties’.
The confusion thickened on Wednesday, November 7 when Medikal posted a freestyle ‘Ah, Wada’ that is widely regarded as a diss track directed at Sister Debbie.
In a possible jab directed at Medikal and his newly found love, Fella Makafui, Sister Debbie real name Deborah Vanessa Owusu-Bonsu also dropped Kakalika Love.
Medikal is known for hit songs, including Confirm, Forever My Love (featuring Bisa Kdei), Confirm Remix (featuring Sarkodie), By Heart Boy, Connect, Too Risky (feat Sister Derby) and Bless You.
