Kelvyn Boy has added his voice to the call for racial justice after the death of George Floyd in the hands of police officers in May with his new song Black Lives Matter.

The Afrobeat artiste released a song he calls Black Lives Matter to preach against racism and the need for people to join in the fight for equality.

“Colour is not a threat and racism is not the answer. We all have to know that. If you love me like yourself better show it [because] that is something they never told us,” he said in the song.

Directed by Windowz GH the video started with numerous videos including news of police shootings, clips of the George Floyd protests and the footage that showed a police officer shooting Philando Castile in his car in front of his daughter and girlfriend in 2016.

“Equal rights and justice are what we are fighting. Stop killing our people, Black Lives Matter, what you are doing it’s not fair,” Kelvyn Boy added.

He stated that it was unfair the racial injustice black people had been subjected to when all they wished for is being handed to their lighter skinned counterparts.
