Five celebrities are scheduled to represent Ghana this year at the annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
Ghana's leading luxury car rental company Eurostar Global Limousine Group who is sponsor of the Celebrity Red Carpet Fashion Review has officially announced that five celebrities namely: Nana Ama McBrown, Victoria Michaels, Toosweet Annan, Van Vicker and Henry Adofo are scheduled for an all-expenses paid trip to this year's 70th Cannes Film Festival.
This is part of their prizes after emerging top 3 female and male Best Dressed Celebs on the red carpet at Ghana Movie Awards 2016.
Originally actress Joselyn Dumas and Jackie Appiah who placed second and third respectively were supposed to attend the Cannes as part of their prizes but they have been dropped due to their absence at the Eurostar prize presentation event last Thursday January 19, 2017 at Eurostar office in Accra.
President/Executive Chairman of Eurostar Limousine, Mr. Oscar Yao Doe has confirmed that indeed Jackie Appiah and Joselyn Dumas have been dropped from the historic trip because of their unpardonable absence at the presentation ceremony.
According to King Oscar the next person in line who could have made it to the trip after Jackie and Joselyn was dropped, should have been actress Gloria Sarfo who was part of the top 5 but she was also absent at the presentation ceremony.
So, the only female left in the top 5 who made it to the presentation ceremony was Model/Actress Victoria Michael. Hence her inclusion to the trip. He added that all top 3 men were present so all 3 made it to the trip.
Mr. Oscar also stated that from henceforth any red-carpet winner who refuses to attend the prizes presentation ceremony will lose their shopping voucher and any other package that come with the prize.
Adding that "if you win and you don't attend the presentation ceremony, the only thing you are entitled to get is your plaque or citation and nothing more".
Nana Ama McBrown and Tooseet Annan won the "Best Dressed Female and Male and they take home 3,000-Euro shopping voucher.
