“The red means power and strength. I have heard so many times in this industry that focusing on you alone is the way to go and as women, we are reluctant to support. But today I want us to leave that attitude behind and support each other in everything,” she appealed.

The main emcee for the night, a Director at the Ghana Audit Service, an architect and aunt of MzVee, Zenabu Andani, implored guests to pledge to make at least one needy child happy by paying a term’s school fees or giving a meaningful present as a way of beginning their journey to supporting each other.

She asked women to learn to network as a way of empowering themselves.

Esther Cobbah was inspired to see so many beautiful women gathered for the ‘Stand Red’ dinner and urged them to tap into themselves, discover their full potential for the benefit of themselves and others.

The former Tourism Minister, Catherine Afeku praised the ‘Daavi’ hitmaker for choosing to encourage women and being a voice that young ones can emulate.

“If you listen carefully to her lyrics, you see there are lessons in there. I encourage all the others here who are into music, to also use what they do to help bring about the change we all desire. You can do it,” the Minister stated.

The ladies got the opportunity to eat, dance, talk, share stories and most importantly the dancefloor was flooded with celebs trying their best to beat each other in a dance competition.
