Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister, on Friday said the era of deceptive politics would subside, as the truth was not far-fetched from the electorate.
He said the electorate in this digital age was widely awake and discerning adding "it would only spell doom for any political party to base its strategy on churning out falsehood, deceit and lies, in order to win favour from the electorate".
Mr Dzamesi made these remarks when he cut-the-sod for work to begin on 47.5-billion cedis road construction projects for the Hohoe, Jasikan and Kadjebi districts at separate functions at Hohoe, Bodada and Kadjebi respectively.
He said it was apparent that major development projects were being initiated and undertaken by the Government in the region.
Mr Dzamesi also said the fact still remained that under the Busia-Danquah tradition major road projects were receiving facelift in the region.
He, therefore, urged the people to continue to identify themselves with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government since their destiny was in the party.
Mr. Dzamesi appealed to the youth to bask in the windfall and developmental opportunities availed them and refuse to tow the line of deceit and lies.Ogyeabour Akompi Finam II, Omanhene of Kadjebi Traditional Area, praised government for responding positively to the plight of the people and expressed the hope that government projects would create jobs for the youth. He appealed to the government to construct a hospital for the Kadjebi district to improve upon health delivery in the area.GNA
