Ms Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communication Africa (Stratcomm), has been adjudged the best communication entrepreneur in Ghana, at the maiden Ghana Entrepreneur Awards Nights in Accra.
It was organised by Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG), a non-profit organisation, striving to foster entrepreneurship in Ghana through mentoring, networking and education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supported by the Agricultural Development Bank.
The Awards was aimed at identifying, recognising and honouring Ghanaian entrepreneurs, who have distinguished themselves to come out of poverty and create jobs.
Additionally, it seeks to support the development of new enterprises and the creation of role models, who could inspire and mentor future generations of entrepreneurs.
The event that commemorated this year’s World Entrepreneurship Day, honoured 40 prominent entrepreneurs.
Ms Cobbah after the programme, told Ghana News Agency that said she was gratified that she was honoured and dedicated the awards to the staff and management of Stratcomm for their hard work.
She said it takes determination, hard work, acquisition of knowledge, and creativity to become a communication entrepreneur.
Ms Cobbah advised prospective young communication entrepreneurs to work hard to attain their objectives.
Ms Cobbah said convincing organisations to appreciate the importance of communication to the growth, development and profitability, was a challenge for operators of the communication industry.
Stratcomm Africa seeks to support organisations to build relationships with stakeholders and helps organisations to build and maintain positive reputation.
Other awards winners included Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Overall best Entrepreneur, Alhaji Dr Asoma Banda, Lifetime Entrepreneur Achievement Awards, Mr Roland Agambire, Best Young Entrepreneur Awards, Mrs Elizabeth Joyce Villars, Best Woman Entrepreneur Awards, Mr Albert Ocran and Best Most-Promising Entrepreneur Awards.Source: GNA
