Long-term Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Enoch Teye Mensah has dispelled rumours he has lost his seat.
He says his opponent, Sylvester Tetteh of the opposition New Patriotic Party, jubilated far too early.
There were rumours, especially on social media platforms that Mr. Mensah, who has represented the people of Ningo Prampram since 1992 when Ghana returned to democratic rule had lost his seat but he has firmly rejected the claims.
He told Joy News that although his opponent won in some key areas, he had also recorded emphatic wins in Prampram West and East which decide the eventual winner of the seat.
The Works and Housing Minister said even though counting was still underway, he was confident of a resounding victory.
