Everton boss David Moyes hopes to wrap up a deal to bring in African hotshot Asamoah Gyan to ease Everton's striker crisis. The Toffees boss has persuaded French club Rennes to accept a loan-now, buy-later deal for the £8million-rated Ghanaian hitman. And Moyes will complete a permanent deal in the summer, when he has more funds available.Gyan scored the fastest goal of the 2006 World Cup in Germany — netting against the Czech Republic after just 68 seconds. It was Ghana’s first-ever World Cup goal.Part of the deal for Gyan, 23, will see forward Lucas Jutkiewicz go the other way.Jutkiewicz, 19, arrived at Goodison from Swindon in 2007 as one of the brightest young prospects around — but has played just four minutes for the Toffees.Another Rennes star on his way to Everton is Wesley Yamnaine. The 16-year-old defender is one of France's hottest talents and has been touted as the next Laurent Blanc or Marcel Desailly.Moyes has moved quickly to snap him up.Nottingham Forest were also interested but the lure of the Premier League won the race for the teenager.Source: Sun
