Ghanaian football star Dede Ayew has endorsed dancehall act Shatta Wale as his all-time favourite artiste.
In an interview late June, the West Ham United midfielder was unequivocal in stating that “he’s the number one.
The son of the football legend told host of the entertainment segment on Joy News' Touchline Becky, that Shatta Wale's songs strikes a cord with most Ghanaian youth.
"God has given him something unique and I salute him”

Dede Ayew weighed in on controversy-prone dancehall artiste who has taken on big entertainment establishments like Chater House and runs lyrical battles with other artistes.
"I think he is someone a lot of people didn’t understand but now they understand him more, his philosophy and he has the talent".
Dede advised that Shatta Wale keep up the consistency, predicting the artiste's career has bright prospects.
